A legacy institution of the Krishna Sudama Group, built on classical Ayurvedic learning and real clinical practice.
The college has a well-established 200-bed hospital, allopathic specialist support and 24-hour emergency services with all modern facilities, alongside 8+ Ayurvedic M.D./M.S. specialist doctors. The hospital maintains a 24-hour ambulance service for the surrounding community.
Students don't just study Ayurveda from a textbook here β they walk from the lecture hall into an OPD that treats real patients every day, under supervision of qualified BAMS faculty. That link between classroom and clinic is the core of how we teach.
According to the ancient Caraka-samhita, Ayurveda β the "Science of Life and Longevity" β has been taught since antiquity, once at the universities of Takshila and Nalanda in Ayurveda's golden era. It suffered a setback through the medieval and colonial periods, but has seen a steady revival since independence β a revival this institution exists to carry forward.
Two goals, pursued on the same campus, by the same people.
Impart strong theoretical grounding in classical Ayurvedic texts, paired with practical clinical skill-building from the earliest years of the course.
Provide affordable, authentic Ayurvedic and Panchakarma treatment to the community surrounding Ghazipur and Varanasi.
Graduate BAMS physicians equipped with relentless practical exposure, not just examination-ready theoretical knowledge.
With the growing institutionalization of education in Ayurveda, there is increased demand to study Ayurveda among young students. Under the aegis of the Krishna Sudama Group of Institutions, this college is committed to giving quality education and health care facilities to society. In academics, our focus is to impart quality education and tap the hidden potential of young minds by inculcating theoretical knowledge, practical skills and unconventional techniques backed by relentless effort and persuasion. The college aims at elevating the standards of Ayurveda education through quality teaching.
Holder of BAMS, MD (Ayu), Ph.D. (Ayu) and further international qualifications, Dr. Reddy has authored 24 Ayurveda texts in Sanskrit and English and published over 90 research papers internationally. He has served as a subject-expert member of the Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL) under CSIR, New Delhi, and on multiple national pharmacopoeia committees β bringing decades of authority in Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana to the university overseeing our academic standards.
Situated on the banks of the River Gomati, VBSPU has grown to provide students with the facilities they need to meet a fast-changing world. The university's highly trained teaching faculty, and its regular national and international conferences and workshops, give students an enriched experience that builds leadership and technical skill in equal measure.
"Our medical college is one of the premier institutes imparting quality Ayurveda medical education in the country. The college runs the BAMS course and is permitted to admit 100 students per year. We take pride in our infrastructural facilities, teaching faculty, and student and staff support systems."
